SOUND is one of King County’s most comprehensive providers of quality mental health and addiction treatment services, supporting our area’s most vulnerable populations. A central tenet of our work is Reaching Recovery, an evidence-based clinical care model.
This position is a professional-level position intended to provide psychiatric services in our agency through the prescribing and monitoring of medications, evaluation of psychiatric status, and consultation to non-medical team members. This is primarily a clinical position, and incumbents will spend the majority of their time seeing patients, with the same productivity standards and same scheduling guidelines as physicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS
Establishes and maintains positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with clinical team members, clients, and outside organizations. Relates to a wide variety of people, including members of ethnic and sexual minority populations, and is respectful of individual and cultural differences.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least two (2) years of previous experience prescribing psychotropic medications is required, preferably in a community mental health setting.
Applicants without psychotropic prescribing experience must have completed the PMHNP or PA program that first made them eligible for board certification no more than 18 months prior to the date of application.

To successfully perform the essential duties of this Job, an individual must be able to sit at a desk for four or more hours a day and use office equipment, including phones and computer keyboards, for four or more hours per day.
