SOUND Behavioral Health is growing, and we are hiring an IDD clinician in Bellevue, WA, to support clients who call the Eastside home. Sound clinicians are focused on demonstrating compassion, patience, and understanding when treating clients. The IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) Clinician works with adult clients with a dual diagnosis of a developmental disability and a mental illness and assists them in becoming as independent as possible in the community. The Clinician assists clients in setting and attaining short and long-term goals.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Flexible hours to meet the needs of the families we support.
Location: Based out of our Bel-Red clinic (13555 NE Bel-Red Rd #228, Bellevue, WA 98005) with frequent travel throughout the Eastside region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Provides direct services and/or internal and external organization referrals for clients.
Develops treatment plans and maintains accurate and timely clinical records according to organization policy.
Prepares necessary reports, summaries, and progress notes, and incorporates them into clinical records.
Performs consultations and liaison duties with other agencies and resources on behalf of the client.
Assists the client to remain stable in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services.
Monitors utilization of services and the success of outcome measures.
To comply with county and state standards, there will be service intensity expectations for this position.
Participates in team member meetings, consultations, case presentations, and in-service training.
Ensures the coordination of support meetings and cross-systems crisis plan development for enrolled clients with this need.
Provides outreach visits to the individuals' homes, day, and vocational settings regularly.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS
Establishes and maintains positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with clinical team members, clients, and outside organizations. Relates to a wide variety of people, including members of ethnic and sexual minority populations, and is respectful of individual and cultural differences.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field, with a strong emphasis on working with families and community agencies required.
A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a clinician or case manager, or residential provider, and the ability to demonstrate skills in clinical assessment and treatment plans, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
Possesses a strong working knowledge of the mental and/or behavioral health and support resources of King County, and is familiar with state and local health delivery systems, including knowledge of various funding principles and clinical services mandates.
Successfully completes twenty (20) hours of training on mental health aspects of IDD within six (6) months of employment, and demonstrates competency with Community Protection standards, positive behavioral support training, and other aspects of IDD as required by various contracts and job duties.
Ability to learn new tasks and skills quickly, and to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, while simultaneously managing crises.
Able to demonstrate the capacity to appreciate and work well with a diverse population.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to obtain a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within the first 60 days of hire.
Washington State driver's license and an insurable driving record are required. This position is community-focused and requires travel between various locations to meet with clients.
Must pass a criminal background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
To successfully perform the essential duties of this Job, an individual must be able to sit at a desk for four or more hours a day and use office equipment, including phones and computer keyboards, for four or more hours per day. Individuals must be able to engage vendors, team members, clients, and others over the phone and in person by voice. Regular attendance is an essential function of the Job.
