SOUND Behavioral Health is growing, and we are welcoming a swing shift residential supervisor to our team at Keystone in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle! 

Sound is one of King County’s most comprehensive providers of quality mental health and addiction treatment services, supporting our area’s most vulnerable populations. A central tenet of our work is Reaching Recovery, an evidence-based clinical care model.

 

 

The residential supervisor is responsible for the clinical and administrative supervision of the residential program under the direction of the senior residential supervisor and program manager. Provides clinical supervision to team members and interns. Provides direct comprehensive services to organization clients and contracted organizations. The supervisor also serves as a resource for and provides leadership to other team members.

 

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the hiring process, train and supervise clinical team members and interns in the program, under the direction of the Program Manager.
  • Conduct team member performance evaluations in conjunction with the senior supervisor and as per organization standards and timelines.
  • Provide clinical and administrative coverage for the program in the absence of the Program manager.
  • Provide clinical services to clients, which include but are not limited to:
    • Mental Assessments and evaluations per required level of care.
    • Lethality and risk assessments.
    • Coordinating care with all facets of Sound.
    • Teaching problem-solving, goal-setting, social skills, communication skills, money management, and accessing community resources.
    • Providing counseling, individual treatment services, and coordination with family when indicated. o Providing crisis intervention services as necessary.
    • Assisting clients to remain stable in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services.
    • Inquiring about medication regimes and treatment compliance.
  • Manage the utilization compliance of services and the success of outcome measures.
  • Advocate for clients, coordinating and referring for services with other community agencies.
  • Maintain working relationships with community and government agencies, other professionals, family members of clients, and significant others.
  • Handle client grievances and implement the client grievance procedure on behalf of the client.
  • Provide consultation/education services to other organizations as appropriate.
  • Assist with monitoring program revenues and expenses and ensure compliance with funding requirements such as authorizations, timelines, medical necessity, and billing.
  • Attend and participate in management meetings, work groups, organization program audits, and accreditation activities as a member of the Sound management team.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and county laws and regulations, Sound policies and procedures, and all safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned by the program manager.
  • Understand recovery concepts in behavioral health.
  • Successfully apply recovery concepts as appropriate.
  • Synthesize and demonstrate recovery concepts.
  • Maintains team member charts to ensure team members’ licensure/certifications stay current as required by WAC and RCW.
  • Engages in addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Required- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field with a strong emphasis in working in behavioral health and residential settings highly preferred.
  • MHP eligibility required
  • Requires a minimum of three years of clinical experience and demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and treatment along with supervision experience.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Skill and experience in working with a wide range of behavioral health disorders.
  • Presenting problems and communicating effectively with collateral organizations and having contact with the individual and/or the family.
  • Early intervention and prevention as well as evidence-based effective treatment.
  • Ability to work well independently is necessary.
  • Knowledge of community mental health systems and resources within King County is highly desirable. Because of the nature of our target population, experience with ethnic/cultural diversity is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

  • Strongly preferred Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation.
  • Washington State licensure as, LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT highly preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within the first 60 days of hire.
  • Must have a Washington State driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to sit at a desk for six or more hours a day and use office equipment, including phones and computer keyboards, for six or more hours per day. Individuals must be able to engage vendors, team members, clients, and others over the phone and in-person by voice. Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Compensation: $77,968.80 - $96,096 per year.
