Overview

Sound is looking for two (2) Residential Clinicians to be a part of the Parks Place team. This role will be responsible for providing therapeutic interventions for all residents of the residential program, including but not limited to treatment planning, goal setting, reviews of progress, clinical documenting and monitoring a caseload of up to 32 residents. The incumbents will work collaboratively with the Keystone Case Managers to provide daily services incorporating recovery principles, supporting clients in their ability to live, work and contribute to their community.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides direct services such as individual and group counseling, assessments, case management services, care coordination, treatment planning, progress notes, Crisis Plans, Behavior Plans, and monthly LRA/Court order monitoring and/or internal and external organization referrals for clients.
  • Develops treatment plans and maintains accurate and timely clinical records according to organization policy.
  • Comply with trainings and licensing standards per county expectations for a Residential Treatment facility (RTF) and state guidelines for assisted living facility (ALF).
  • Prepares necessary reports, summaries and progress notes, and incorporates into clinical records.
  • Assists client to remain stable in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services.
  • Monitors medication regimes and treatment compliance.
  • Monitors utilization of services and the success of outcome measures.
  • Participates in team member meetings, consultations, case presentations and in-service training.
  • Participates in ongoing program development and assessment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Establishes and maintains positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with clinical team members, residents, and outside organizations. Relates to a wide variety of people including members of ethnic and sexual minority populations and is respectful of individual and cultural differences.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in a MHP eligible program preferred. Bachelors with MHP designation required.
  • Experience with case management, assessments, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction Model and Trauma Informed Care preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Be able to maintain appropriate boundaries with residents and staff and have sound judgment.
  • Have the demonstrated ability to work effectively under supervision, as well as independently when necessary.
  • Be able to apply crisis intervention skills and manage potentially volatile situations.
  • Be able to promote and support use of recovery principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and personal interaction skills
  • Be able to do simple mathematics.
  • Have proven assessment skills to evaluate resident functioning

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • Mental Health Professional designation required.
  • Obtain and maintain current Agency Affiliated Counselor license with DOH within first 30 days of hire.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License and insurable driving record.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications required within 30 days of hire.
  • Food Handler’s Permit required within 30 days of hire.
  • Complete required Home Care Aid course and obtain license with DOH within first 5 months of hire. Obtain 12 hours of CEUs per year.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use hands, fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The team member frequently is required to stand and sit.
  • The team member is occasionally required to walk.
  • The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds or more with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Individuals must be able to engage vendors, team members, residents and others over the phone and in-person by voice.

Pay Range: $26.01 - 27.34 per hour
